Photo Walk
This picture that I took was taken near our school. I like this picture because of the angle it was taken from and just the way that you can see many more trees in the background not just having one old tree in your picture.

Portrait Series
This is me getting ready to go out to dinner. I put on a nice, elegant shirt, put some jeans on and I'm good. Then I add some jewelry, earrings and a bracelet and at times necklaces. Then I hop on my purse and I am all ready to go out on my dinner.

Photography Composition
Framing
Framing:
when
the main subject is portrayed through a “framed” background.
Framing is a technique
used by photographers that creates the illusion of depth and draws the viewer's
eye to a focal point of interest. Focusing the viewer's attention on the main
subject by photographing through another object as the background, in this case
the 6 girls are being shown through this bridges’ gate as the frame.
Silhouette:
being in front of sunset usually to make the subject dark.
A photograph that displays a silhouette must consist of some
light usually a sunset in back of a person or object. This will virtually make
the person or object standing in front of the sunset/light darker so that you
only see the outline of the person. In this photograph the girl is standing in
front of the sunset and is completely dark, where we can only see her outline.
Distance ( Medium )
Distance:
determines depth of picture or how close or far away and object is away from the
Photographer. In this case medium.
Distance creates depth and volume to many pictures and
images that are taken in photography. In this picture we can tell that the end
of the couch where the bird cage is at is neither close nor far to the viewer’s
eye. Therefore, this image portrays what is said to be a medium distance.
Informal Balance
Informal
Balance: when elements are portrayed unevenly in a piece and
asymmetrical.
Informal or
"asymmetrical" Balance is uneven balance. The objects have nearly the
same "visual weight" on either side of the vertical center of the
photograph, but are different in size or shape. This picture of a short girl
and a tall girl shows the elements of being different in shape and size. This
image is also asymmetrical because neither side is equal.
Rhythm
Rhythm:
repetitive patterns that create the feeling of highlight or intensity.
This image portrays rhythm, which is essentially a pattern
or repeating objects. Rhythm is
when objects maintain a repetitive pattern in a picture creating a feeling of
depth or emphasis. In this image this balcony exposes the repeating pattern of
mini-pillars. The balcony follows the same sequence over and over.
